Our Story
Gaia Wind are a world leading small wind generator company with headquarters based in Edinburgh, Scotland and Dubai, UAE. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest value for cost ratio in the small wind generation market through our flagship turbine the GW-133.
The Gaia Wind GW-133 turbine is the best in class in the 10-20kW range machines available in todays market. With installations in a variety of industrial and community locations and 2000 operating units the Gaia wind energy generation units offers great value to our clients.
Our wind turbines have been designed to operate in moderate wind speed areas and are ideally suited to farms, businesses, rural properties, community and Island projects that wish to reduce (or remove) their energy costs and their carbon footprint. Generating better value is not only about performance. By choosing Gaia Wind, you are investing in a 10 year record of reliability and over 20 years of international design and operational experience. The Gaia Wind 133-11kW turbine is the only small-scale product to have achieved the Danish HB Standards, which certify compliance with rigorous quality, safety and performance requirements. Gaia Wind turbines incorporate many of the safety features found on large utility-scale wind turbine farms. It's protected against high wind speeds by a number of safety features: passive stall control; mechanical brake activation; and deployment of centrifugally activated tip brakes. All of these measures ensure that should the wind reach speeds of over 56mph, the rotor will automatically ‘park’ itself to avoid damage to the turbine. These market leading features ensure the longevity of your turbine, and our certified design quality means that repair costs are kept to a minimum.
