WE ARE HIRING - HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver
The Role
Working from our Edinburgh depot, you'll be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of scaffolding materials to sites using our HIAB-equipped vehicles. You will be expected to work closely with our yard team and contracts supervisors to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver and collect scaffolding materials safely and efficiently.
• Operate a HIAB crane to load and unload materials on site.
• Carry out daily vehicle, crane and lifting equipment safety checks.
• Ensure all loads are secured in accordance with current legislation.
• Complete defect reports accurately.
• Keep the vehicle clean, presentable and well maintained.
• Assist with loading and organising materials in the yard when required.
• Work safely and comply with all company health and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid ALLMI or CPCS HIAB qualification.
• Experience operating a remote-control HIAB crane.
• Previous experience delivering scaffolding or construction materials.
• Excellent understanding of load restraint and lifting operations.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Desirable
• Scaffold labouring or yard experience.
• Forklift licence.
• Experience working within the scaffolding or construction industry.
