Good partnerships are built on more than great products!

Our colleagues Marc Russell and Andy Wray are in Venice at Xylem's Applied Water EMEA Partners Conference. 🇮🇹

With sessions covering business strategy, innovation, AI, sustainability, changing market regulations and emerging growth markets such as data centres, there’s plenty to discuss - and plenty to take back to the business.

The event is also a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Xylem’s leadership team, exchange ideas with fellow partners and explore how we can continue to develop our knowledge, strengthen collaboration and deliver the best possible solutions and support for our customers.

We place great value on the relationships we build with our product partners. While calls, emails and online meetings all have their place, nothing quite replaces the value of getting together in person - and it doesn’t hurt that that’s in Venice!!

What better way to round off a successful week at the World Water Congress in Glasgow than with a team announcement?! 👏

We're delighted to share that Marc Russell has been promoted to Head of Sales - Water & Infrastructure, a senior leadership position supporting our continued growth across Scotland's water, wastewater, developer and wider infrastructure sectors.

Marc will be a familiar (and smiling!) face to many of our customers and partners, having spent several years with as Project Sales Manager.

During that time, Marc has played a significant role in developing our Contracting and Developer Contracting divisions, building strong relationships and helping secure a number of key projects.

In his new role, Marc will lead our sales strategy across the water and infrastructure market, working closely with customers, partners and colleagues across our engineering, projects and service teams.

It's always particularly rewarding to see our own people progress within the business and Marc's appointment is a reflection of his contribution, commitment and the experience he's built over the years.

A great week in Glasgow, an exciting next chapter for Ferrier Pumps and a very well deserved promotion for Marc.

The global water community is coming to Glasgow next month - and we'll be there!

We'll be amongst the water professionals from around the world attending the International Water Association's World Water Congress & Exhibition 2026, at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) Glasgow from 4 - 8 October.

With this year's Congress focused on water action - the path to resilience and prosperity, the conversations taking place throughout the week will address some of the biggest challenges facing our sector - from resilient water and wastewater infrastructure and resource recovery to sustainability, innovation and the future management of our water resources.

For us, those are conversations we're very much part of.

Serving Scotland since 1981, our teams bring extensive experience across pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment, engineered solutions and through-life service and maintenance - combining strong local knowledge with the wider capabilities and expertise available to us as part of EPS Group.

We'll be exhibiting alongside our colleagues from EPS Water UK at Stand 630, bringing together expertise from across our businesses to talk about the practical solutions, engineering capability and long-term asset support required by today's water sector.

Building and strengthening great supplier relationships doesn't always have to happen in the office… ⛳☀️

We had lovely weather for our Annual Supplier Golf Day at Dunblane New Golf Club yesterday.

The day brought together some of our Ferrier Pumps team with friends and colleagues from Lowara, Xylem, KSB, Wilo, Grundfos, Frazer, Edmundson Electrical Ltd and EnviroClean for a round of golf, plenty of conversation and a bit of friendly competition along the way.

Playing with our own Stephen Williamson was James Whitely (Lowara) and Stuart Lumsden (KSB), while Scott Po***ck and Ryan Lynch hosted Steven Walker of Wilo and Colin Johnston from Grundfos.

Bradley Port and Neil McKechan teamed up with Iain Brown of Xylem and Alan Milne of Frazer, while Ricky Swan and Stuart Cook went around with Callum Carville of Edmundson Electrical and Mark Donaghy of Enviroclean.

Days like this are a chance to spend time with the people we work alongside throughout the year, away from the usual calls, emails and meetings - and that's every bit as important when it comes to maintaining strong partnerships.

With the arrival of our latest addition - the Volkswagen ID. Buzz - our Aberdeen fleet continues to grow, helping us respond to our customers even fastet.

Whether it's delivering equipment, carrying out site inspections, commissioning new installations or providing planned and reactive service and repair, our engineers are on the road every day keeping critical pumping systems operating as they should.

Our growing fleet means greater coverage, faster response times and more support, exactly where and when it's needed.

So if you spot one of our vans on the road, there's a good chance we're already on our way to help another customer .

Why does ongoing training matter?

Because the more our engineers know, the faster they can solve your problems!

As technology continues to evolve, so do we and upskilling our people is one of the best investments we can make in ourselves and ultimately, our customers.

Members of our Contract Delivery team recently spent the day with Siemens in East Kilbride, developing their knowledge of level and flow controllers through practical training covering:

Programming
Installation
Operating Principles
Fault Finding

As our Commissioning Manager, Scott Po***ck, put it afterwards, "The training was worthwhile for both experienced and inexperienced users and delivered through hands-on learning".

That's knowledge our team takes straight back into the field - helping us commission systems more efficiently, diagnose issues faster and provide even better support.

Thanks to Les Mitchell and Martin Ruck from Siemens - we're already looking forward to welcoming them back for another training day soon so we can make sure our customers continue to .
