Bringing the Kids to Royal Highland Show this weekend? 🐑

Another busy day at the Royal Highland Show for the Sisalwool team....

There’s been a great atmosphere across the showground, with lots of people stopping by to chat about natural materials, low-energy homes, and how we can build healthier spaces to live in.

We’ve also had some special guests visiting the stand today, taking a closer look at how Sisalwool insulation works in practice. It's always great to see the interest and conversations it sparks.

If you’re heading along today (or this weekend), come and find us on the Floral Walkway. The HooseLtd maquette is well worth a look and gives a real insight into what’s happening behind the walls.

Preparations are very much in full swing here in Ingliston.

The Sisalwool podcast studio is taking shape, with the grain silo transforming into a proper recording space ahead of tomorrow’s Royal Highland Show opening.

Every stage of the build is a real‑time demo of what natural fibre insulation can do for sound and comfort.

Working with, not against, a heritage building.

At Greyfriars Charteris Centre in Edinburgh, the loft was uninsulated, hard to heat in winter and uncomfortably hot in summer. WE HAVE NEWS 📢

We’re excited to share that Sisalwool has partnered with Apex Training - The Verdancy Group, to support green skills development in natural insulation.

Through Verdancy and Apex, hundreds of installers will have the chance to undertake practical training and gain qualifications such as the Level 3 NVQ in Insulation and Building Treatments at the BE‑ST Innovation Campus.

That means more people with the skills needed to improve the comfort, health and performance of homes and buildings.

Sisalwool’s insulation, a blend of natural fibres, is designed to be safer and more comfortable to handle than many traditional materials, which makes it ideal for training settings as well as live installations.

This partnership is part of a wider commitment to support today’s workforce and create new opportunities for young people looking to build a future in low‑carbon construction.
