ATTENTION! You MUST sterilise your ultrasonic handpieces between EVERY patient?

Extract from the UK Health Technical Memorandum 01-05: ‘Practices can seek the advice on the decontamination of handpieces from the handpiece manufacturer. Dental handpieces are constructed with a number of features that are difficult to clean and sterilise.’

Ultrasonic handpieces must be managed the same as any other handpiece.
