CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) Workshop based Service Engineer in Horton Heath, Eastleigh

Your role will be to service, maintain and repair our hire fleet which are leading brands in their field. As we are the main dealer for Takeuchi Mini Excavators, Thwaites Dumpers, Bomag Compaction, Atlas Copco & Epiroc you will expected to carry out warranty work plus service & repair our customers machinery. The company will provide the successful candidate with excellent training opportunities.
This is a permanent role, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
The right candidate must be adaptable with good problem-solving & communication skills to work closely with our depot teams, customers & manufacturers.
You will need the following skills / abilities for the role of fitter / service engineer:
• Experience in servicing and repairing manufacturers plant equipment.
• Experienced in diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 Plant Maintenance preferred (but not essential)
• Work effectively within a team.
• Have your own tools.

Purchasing Assistant in Horton Heath, Southampton
CBL are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement operations. Working in a close knit and friendly team, this vital role includes processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. CBL (Clive Barford Limited) is a long established, family-owned construction equipment sales and rental company operating from 7 depots across the southern half of the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
• Creation of purchase orders and managing any open orders with suppliers until completion.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Accurately convert sales orders into contracts on our internal systems, liaising with fields sales to resolve queries.
• Collaborate with departments such as our sales and depot teams.
• Provide reports as required to management.
• Provide cover for other members of the Purchasing department when required.
• Assist in admin tasks related to Sales, Purchasing and Logistics
Qualifications
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support would be an asset.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
