OEG has built a strong, long-standing relationship with Ørsted over the past decade, delivering service, maintenance, and repair solutions across its UK offshore wind portfolio. Building on this successful partnership, OEG has now secured a new agreement to provide statutory inspection services, further expanding its support to Ørsted.

The multi-million-pound contract, awarded following a competitive tender process, spans five years with two optional two-year extensions and will be delivered by OEG’s offshore wind topside services team.

OEG Topside Director Billy Hamilton said: “This latest award reinforces OEG’s standing as a trusted long-term partner to the global offshore wind leader. Securing this framework for a third consecutive time in the UK is a strong endorsement of our expertise and the value we deliver to Ørsted’s operations."

OEG has secured a long-term, multi-million-dollar contract extension with a global operator to support offshore drilling operations in the Bass Strait field, Australia, through to end of field life, expected in 2036.

This extension reinforces a long-standing partnership and further strengthens OEG’s role in supporting safe, reliable and efficient offshore operations across Australia.

OEG and Ørsted have launched a pilot partnership to train wind turbine technician apprentices and help address the growing demand for skilled workers across the wind industry.

This agreement will see OEG become the formal employer and programme manager for 2️⃣0️⃣ apprentices from Ørsted’s 2025 intake, who will continue studying while gaining practical experience working on wind farms.

The pilot programme supports recommendations from the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC) to establish industry-wide apprenticeship standards, enabling technicians to readily move between companies and wind farms, and supporting long-term careers across the sector.

On International Guide Dog Day, meet Wayne 🐕‍🦺

OEG's Kevin Wilson is a Bed & Breakfast Boarder for Guide Dogs WA (GDWA), and has been since August 2024. As a volunteer, he helps by providing guide dogs in training with accommodation while they attend school during the week to become guide, assistance, and companion dogs

Wayne came to Kevin when he was just 18 months. Sporting his bright orange coat, he accompanies Kevin in everyday life to appointments, the gym, restaurants, and even work meetings at OEG, where he became the Perth facility's mascot!

After ten months of training, Wayne is now working as a full-time guide dog with a visually impaired client 🐾
