Not going to lie, when I first came up with this idea I wasn't sure how it would turn out.. but I've wanted to do it for a long time, so we finally bit the b**let..

taking all the toys away and leaving 22 children aged between 10 months and 4 with a hall filled with all types of recycled cardboard, Tape, stickers, crayons, chalk and tools and that was it, no instructions, no rules, just 1.5 hours of open ended child led play, watching their imagination and creativity come to life.. (well we also had our usual snacks and drinks too!)

It was a great session from what I witnessed, for all the ages that came.. for those that attended what did you think..?

Week 2 of our new Discovery sessions is "the Great Canopy".. whose joining us to find out what it'll entail? 😉

No rules, no toys, no expectations just child led play..

What happens when you fill a hall full of cardboard and tape of various sorts and stickers and crayons and chalk, and safety cardboard cutters.. and lots of children 0-4..

I guess today we'll find out!!

📦✨ BRAND NEW SESSION THIS WEDNESDAY! ✨📦

The wait is officially over! This Wednesday, we are launching our very first Discovery Session, and we are kicking things off with a massive fan-favourite:

Cardboard City!

The Discovery Session: An ever-changing invitation to play for all ages.

What is it?

Our sessions are a full 1.5 hours long, giving your little ones the ultimate luxury of time to dive deep into their imagination.

We’re packing the hall with a mountain of clean cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes, tubes, tunnels, colourful masking tape, and big clips.

True to our child-led ethos, there are no instructions and no "right" way to play. We set the space, step back, and let the children lead the adventure.

Who is it for?

Everyone! It is fully inclusive for ages 0–4.

👶 Tiny ones (0-1): Will love people watching, sitting in boxes and playing peekaboo, and those on the move will like crawling through big box tunnels, playing peek-a-boo through the flaps, or exploring the textures.

👦 Older toddlers & preschoolers (2-4): Can build towers, connect tubes, tape structures together, or transform a box into a rocket, a car, or a cozy home.

Whether you are a parent, childminder, nanny, grandparent, or carer, it’s a beautifully relaxed space to grab a hot drink, sit back on the floor, and watch your child’s natural play urges unfold.

I have no pictures to advertise these sessions with yet, so enjoy 2 pieces of work my youngest came home from school with that he made in junk modelling instead.. 🤣❤️ the second one is apparently a bridge.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Drinks and snacks included, price is per adult, includes up to 2 children 0-4 with additional children after the first 2- £1 each.. so great for childminders too.. 😉

We are back in Gloucester this morning for a sensory play session at the GDA on Colin road just off Barnwood rd.. it's a much bigger space just up the road from Barnwood reading rooms and has a carpark.. 🥰

Session is running this morning 10-11.30am suitable for all children 0-4, and drinks and snacks are included 😍 price is per adult and Includes up to 2 children 0-4..
