In 2016 a new Town Centre Ranger was introduced from the Town Centre Regeneration Fund. This service is exlusive to the town centre.

The Town Rangers Service is part of the Town Council doing various jobs such as clearing debris, jet washing, general tidying, removing graffiti etc… in Dunstable. The Town Ranger Services set up by the Town Council in 2012 is out and about in Dunstable doing all those little jobs that we all often walk or drive past thinking ’why does somebody not clean that up or sort that out’. The introduction

of the Town Ranger services will allow the Town Council to respond quickly and effectively to tackle environmental eyesores around the town. This service will help to make Dunstable a better place to live, work and visit. The Town Ranger is equipped with a wide range of tools including a high power pressure washer, a litter vacuum, a strimmer and many other useful implements so that he can carry out a wide range of works and repairs across public areas. New for 2017 the Town Centre Ranger has a new street sweeper/washer also a new jet wash system which is used for removing graffiti, cleaning paths and any grot spots. He also has a Kubota buggy, which he uses for picking up any fly tipping and carrying equipment.
