A real treat this one to supply a new monster of an outboard in the shape of a Mercury Marine V10 400hp onto the back of this stunning Scorpion Rib. This is a perfect balance of power for this stunning hull. These engines are just amazingly quiet and powerful while maintaining excellent fuel economy for a big outboard giving just over 1.2l per nautical mile and still being able to push this beast of a boat to mid 50 knots. A credit to her owner in the condition she is in and hopefully on to many happy boating hours.

A nice wee trip this week up to Ullapool to fit two nice new Mercury Marine 150hp outboards to one of our good customers based in Stornoway. It’s always nice to work on a nice, well kept working boat. One of the nice things about working off site is seeing new places and meeting new people. This visit, we met Dan and his colleagues from Johnson and Loftus boat yard. They are extremely welcoming, nothing too much trouble and very talented wooden boatbuilders. Well worth a shout if you need anything boat related up around their direction.

As we come to the end of the year again, we’d love to say thank you to all our friends and customers for their massive support again this year. It’s certainly been a busy one for sure. We’ve got lots of exciting things to come in the new year so stay tuned tuned for our news to come.
In the meantime, we’d like to wish each and every one of our friends, families, customers and colleagues the very best for Christmas and the new year when it comes. We’ll be back open as normal on Monday 5th January.
