🌱 June Gardening Jobs 🌱
The garden is bursting into life, and June is all about keeping on top of growth while enjoying the rewards!
🌼 Deadhead flowers regularly to encourage more blooms.
💧 Water deeply during dry spells, especially containers, hanging baskets and newly planted shrubs.
🌿 Mulch borders to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
✂️ Prune spring-flowering shrubs once they’ve finished blooming.
🐛 Keep an eye out for caterpillars, aphids and other pests, and treat accordingly.
🍓 Check strawberries for mould, remove affected fruit and peg down runners to make new plants.
🥬 Continue sowing salad crops, turnips and oriental vegetables for later harvests.
🍅 Plant out tomatoes and runner beans, and make sure they’re well supported.
🌱 Mow lawns regularly and keep weeds under control while they’re small.
Most importantly, take a moment to sit back and enjoy your garden. June is when all your hard work starts to pay off! ☀️🌸
