A few months back, we were approached by Barrett’s Concrete to come up with a solution to install a secondhand Haarup 300L mixer above the clients existing concrete press. They were using one mixer to serve two concrete presses, however, this was a slow process and needed some improvement. PM Engineering came up with a solution to install the second mixer above the existing press and have now everything is installed and ready for commissioning in the coming days.

Aggregate bins for a new concrete batching plant currently being manufactured at our factory in Ballygawley. These bins will be installed in the coming weeks as part of a new precast concrete production facility for Cross Concrete Flooring.

Another bespoke design project that will provide the client with the versatility in concrete mixes for manufacturing their fantastic range of products.

2 weeks ago I posted a short video showing the progress of a new concrete batching plant we have designed, manufactured and are currently installing for S.Morris in Somerset.

After 22 days on site to get our first phase of the project complete, here’s where we are at!!! Aggregate bins installed, water tanks and structure installed, portal frames installed, shuttle conveyor and half of the charging conveyor installed. Now ready for cladding and moving onto our next phase.

This is no ordinary plant, this is a plant that has many different functions and will be able to produce many different types of concretes and screeds. On site recycled aggregates and full site harvesting of rain water this is a plant for the future.

Fantastic progress from everyone involved so far and looking forward to seeing this project completed in the near future.

After a few years of planning and designing, we are now at the installation stage of a new concrete batching plant for our good friends S.Morris in Somerset. This is no ordinary plant, this is a plant that has many different functions and can produce many different types of concretes and screeds. On site recycled aggregates and full site harvesting of rain water this is a plant for the future.

10 days in on phase one of the installation and we are ready for the big bin sections to be installed next week. Great progress so far and looking forward to seeing this project completed in the near future.

Well we had to get the toys out to move these big bin sections 😁. The bottom taper section was the heaviest lift, almost hitting the 40 ton mark. All 8 tapers are manufactured from 10mm mild steel plate, with 4 of the tapers lined using 10mm Hardox and the other 4 tapers with 10mm polymer liners, to help movement of the finer products. A total of 1000 Tons of aggregate storage over the 8 bins when installed.

With our next big project well underway, here are some more pictures of the aggregate bins and a 150,000 Litre water tank currently being manufactured at our factory, for a very special concrete batching plant, that will be installed in the coming months for our client in south of England.

This mighty plant will have almost 800tons of powder storage, 1000tons of aggregate storage and will feed 2 concrete mixers. So plenty of manufacturing to be done before installation.
