The Welding Academy consists of a seven week training course during which participants will study ETCAL Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations and Certified Abrasive Wheels Training.

An introduction to Robotic Welding (Valk) is being offered to all on the Academy who want to avail of the opportunity. Students will acquire the skills to set up and operate the robot to perform a basic welding task.

Last week, our civil engineering students past and present joined the CEF and Institute of Water to celebrate 80 years of partnership between the water and construction sectors at Stormont’s Long Gallery.

The event brought together clients, contractors, suppliers, elected representatives, apprentices and early-career professionals discussed and engaged in a number of key areas underscoring a shared commitment to practical delivery amidst a challenging environment.

📸 Pictured are Molly Darcy (Deane Public Works), Katie Harper (NI Water), Tara-Mia Devine (Graham) and Emer Murnaghan (outgoing ICE NI Chair & former IAB for Construction Chair at SWC).

A fantastic event celebrating collaboration, innovation and the future of our industries.
