Ooopsie!! We've been a wee bit laid back recruiting for this position as we've been travelling for the past 2 months meaning we've been unable to conduct interviews. We will be back in the UK and hoping to commence interviews from 20th October onwards. If you're chasing the high end £££'s then you're maybe better suited working for a big corporate company and working shifts/weekends. This role is perfectly suited for someone who is more interested in a work-life balance with every weekend off and every second weekend being a long weekend due to the 4 day shift pattern allowing for some 'you time' to go to the gym, play golf or whatever you're into while the kids are at school! We offer a competitive rate of pay, a nicely wrapped Ford Transit (with only a few minor scratches) to cruise about in from site to site and most of all, a cracking team of people to work alongside! Fabricator wanted for immediate start. All styles of fabrication undertaken, however we predominantly TIG weld.

Ideal candidate would have the ability to carry out bench fitting and have a 'can do' attitude as the majority of our projects are bespoke to customers and one-off's.

Working 37 hours per week over 4 days on a rolling shift pattern: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 5.15pm then Tuesday - Friday 7.30am - 5.15pm, meaning every second weekend is a long weekend! Overtime opportunities also available. Salary is negotiable depending on ability/experience and company vehicle is available for the successful candidate.

UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 Penalty Points is essential.

Are you in an engineering role at the moment and looking for a new challenge? Are you bored of the same thing day in day out and fancy a bit of variation? If the answer is yes then get in touch!

Scotserve are looking for the right person to join our team with immediate effect! The desired duties and skills required include but are not limited to the following:

* A reasonable level of mechanical and fitting skills
* Experience of conveyor building or working around conveyor systems preferrably
* Fabrication of high quality components including setting up and operating a range of tooling and machinery e.g. welding plants (tig, mig etc), guillotine, press brake and band saws (basic use of lathes/milling machines is preferred but not essential)
* Good problem solving skills e.g. attending a breakdown at site and having the ability to identify that a chain has snapped on a Conveyor system or a failure on a vacuum pump/gearbox has occurred etc.
* The ability to work in a fast paced environment that can often change at last minute.
* Supporting others within the team
* A patient and friendly mannerism especially when at customer sites.
*Full UK driving licence is essential.

In return you will receive a competitive salary which will be dependent on experience and skillset. You will also potentially receive a works van. You will work 37 hours per week over a 4 day week on a 2 week rotational shift plan (Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.15pm with 30 minute lunch break. Week 2 - Tuesday to Friday 7.30am - 5.15pm with 30 minute lunch break) which essentially creates a 4 on 4 off 4 on 2 off pattern. Overtime is also available to top up your salary at a rate of either time and half or double time.

It's the little things that go a long way......

Having manufactured some product Conveyor for the client, John and Graham attended site to reposition some of their existing conveyor system and install the new section of conveyor supplied, in preparation of their new laser coder arriving.

As you can see from the customers feedback, we are very fortunate to have skilled staff with a great attitude, who take great pride in their work 😀
