We’re hiring at JMC Highland

Due to continued growth, we’re looking to add a few good people to the team. We’re now one of the fastest growing renewables installers in the Northern Highlands, and most of our work is focused on solar PV, battery storage and electrical contracting.

Base location: Dornoch (working across the Highlands)
Working hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm

Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm

Qualified Electrician (Full-Time)

We’re looking for a qualified electrician to join our team, working mainly on:

Solar PV installs

Battery storage systems

EV charger installs

Domestic & commercial electrical works

Fault finding, testing & certification

This is a great role for someone who wants to upskill into renewables — full solar and battery training provided.

-Competitive base salary

-Standard hours are 40 per week

-all experience levels will be considered

-Benefits include:

You must:

Be able to meet in Dornoch for a 7:30am start

Occasionally work away in and around the Highland region (accommodation/expenses covered where applicable)

1x apprentice ideally in 3rd/4th year

This is a brilliant opportunity to learn the trade while also getting hands-on experience with solar and battery systems — with full support and training provided.

You must:

-Be able to get to Dornoch for 7:30am

-Be reliable, keen to learn, and take pride in your work

-Have a driving licence, or be working towards one within the next 12 months (age dependent)

Subcontractor Electrician (Day Rate)

We’re also looking for a:

Small, local, trusted subcontractor electrician (day rate)

This will be to support ongoing workload across the Highlands and could lead to:

-Ongoing work

-Potential future employment for the right person

We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Admin worker on a flexible part time basis. Possibly mixture of 3 mornings or Afternoons a week
This role is for someone who has a background of book keeping and can do the following:
-Payroll
-Sales invoices
-Vat and reverse charge vat.
-Payments
-Bank reconciliation
-General office duties
We currently use Quickbooks so some experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
