We’re incredibly proud to share that Agemaspark, Workshop Manager, Sam Buxton has won the Career Development Award at the 2026 Metals Industry Apprentice of the Year Awards.

Organised by The Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers Alias Wire Workers, the national awards recognise exceptional apprentices making an outstanding contribution to the UK metals industry.

Sam received the award at the prestigious Court Dinner held at Grey’s Inn, London, in recognition of the personal and professional development he has demonstrated throughout his Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager apprenticeship.

Alongside his day-to-day operational leadership role, Sam has played a key role in supporting Agemaspark’s Fit For Nuclear accreditation, strengthening quality systems and helping drive continuous improvement across the business.

This achievement reflects Sam’s commitment, professionalism and determination to keep developing both himself and those around him.

Agemaspark and Marketing for Engineering Ltd are proud to have jointly sponsored two award categories at the STEM Racing UK National Finals, held at Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, from 24–26 March 2026.

The organisations sponsored the Sponsorship and Marketing Award – Professional Class and the Development Class, recognising excellence in branding, communication, and team progression within the competition.

The awards were presented to Team Atomic from Robert May’s School (Hampshire) and Team Carbonox from STEM Racing Thailand, celebrating outstanding performance on both the national and international stage.

More award recognition for Agemaspark Workshop Managers, Paul Preskey and Sam Buxton, who have been shortlisted for the Higher Apprentice of the Year category at the South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026 👏

This recognition reflects the impact both have made through their Level 5 apprenticeships which they did with Whyy? Change, developing not only their own leadership capability, but also strengthening our operations, quality systems and team performance here at Agemaspark.

Their progression is a great example of how apprenticeships can support real career development while delivering meaningful business improvements.

Congratulations to Paul and Sam on this fantastic achievement – and to all the other shortlisted finalists across South Yorkshire. The standard is clearly very high, and it’s great to see so much talent being recognised across the region.

Agemaspark has achieved Fit For Nuclear (F4N) status, a recognised mark of business excellence demonstrating its capability to supply the UK nuclear sector.

The company has also successfully secured Cyber Essentials certification, reinforcing its commitment to robust cybersecurity standards and developing its role in the supply chain for both the nuclear and defence sectors.

We’re proud to share that Agemaspark has been shortlisted for the Innovation category at the Medilink North of England Healthcare Business Awards 2026 🎉

Agemaspark is proud to announce that Workshop Managers Paul Preskey and Sam Buxton have been shortlisted for the highly prestigious Career Development category in the Metals Industry Apprentice of the Year awards run by The Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers Alias Wire Workers.

Now in its 27th year, the competition celebrates exceptional apprentices across the UK metals sector and highlights the vital contribution they make to their organisations and the wider industry. The awards recognise excellence in both career development and craft skills, rewarding individuals who demonstrate outstanding progress, technical expertise and meaningful business impact.

Interviews for the awards will take place on Wednesday, 1st April at The Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield, with winners announced at the official Court Dinner in London on 12th May 2026.

Both shortlisted candidates have followed the Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager apprenticeship route while progressing into key leadership roles within Agemaspark.

We’re proud to share that Agemaspark has been named Engineering Manufacturer of the Year at the Insider Media Made in UK Yorkshire Awards, held last night at the fantastic Royal Armouries in Leeds.

This award recognises the dedication of our entire team and our ongoing commitment to precision engineering across critical sectors including aerospace, nuclear and defence. The judges highlighted our continued investment in 3D metal printing and our ability to deliver measurable performance improvements for customers.
