How do you staple without staples?!

The BST Detectable Stapleless Stapler is an interesting piece of innovation. 🎓

The stapler can comfortably attach eight sheets of standard copier paper and works without the need for small potential contaminants.

Papers are combined by cutting a small strip in the corner, folding it back, and tucking back in on itself, all in one press.

With no staples to cause contamination, the stapleless stapler is ideal for binding papers in food production areas.

What they don’t see is everything that happens after; Washing, cutting, sorting, packing… and all the people, tools, and processes involved along the way.

That’s where things can get complicated.

In busy production environments, it’s not always the produce that creates risk, it’s everything around it. Utensils, PPE, tools, all the small things that are easy to overlook.

That’s why detectable products play such an important role. They’re not there to get in the way, just to reduce risk and support the process.

It’s National Food Safety Education Month!

Education has always been a huge part of what we do at BST. Yes, we supply detectable products, but we’ve always believed it’s just as important to help people understand why they matter, how they work, and the role they play in supporting food safety.

The truth is, detectable products are still a bit of a mystery to a lot of people. We regularly hear things like “I didn’t even know these existed!” which is exactly why we’re kicking off our Back to School series this September.

Over the next month, we’ll be covering all things detectable through tips, explanations, behind-the-scenes content, product spotlights, myth-busting, and answers to some of the questions we hear all the time. Think of it as Food Safety 101… just with fewer detentions.

National Burger Day? England, you’ve done it again! 🍔

Burgers come in all shapes and sizes. Single patty, triple stacked, brioche bun or sesame seeded, plain and simple or piled high with toppings. Pickles, ketchup, burger sauce, salad, the possibilities are endless.

But one thing all burgers have in common? The food safety measures working behind the scenes to ensure every bite is as safe as it is mouthwatering.

From ingredient preparation and processing through to packaging and distribution, food manufacturers rely on robust procedures, quality checks, and detectable products to help prevent contamination and protect consumers.
