Repeated mechanical failures across several rotary lobe pumps were causing significant downtime for one of the UKโs largest nut butter producers.
When one pump failed completely, Alliance was called in to provide an urgent replacement. Rather than simply replacing like-for-like, the team looked at the wider application and recommended a SOMA sinusoidal pump, better suited to the gentle, low-shear transfer of highly viscous nut butter.
With the required pump available from our UK stock, we were able to provide same-day delivery and help get production moving again quickly. But the real measure of success came afterwards.
Following the performance of the first installation, the customer ordered a further seven SOMA sinusoidal pumps to replace the remaining problem pumps across the site. Sometimes fixing the problem pump is not the answer. The better solution starts with looking at the application.
