Just a reminder to all that our phone lines are closed this week to allow us to concentrate on production whilst staff are on holiday. Phone lines will be open next Tuesday as normal.

Dear customers,
Due to increases in material costs we have had to implement a mid year price increase, this is not something we like to do but feel with material costs rising we simply cannot absorb it all. One main increase has been silver solder, purchased in 2025 at £613/kg we have just had to pay £1251/kg, that is a 104% increase in 12 months.
We are also removing the price freeze promise, as the schedule is now spanning into 2028 we simply cannot fix a price for 2 years, any orders already in place will be honoured at the price at point of order.
We will get an updated price list onto the website as soon as possible and the new prices will be live with immediate effect.
Once again many apologies for having to do this but we have to make the right decision for us as a company.

The sun is out and it is time for our factory open day, we also have SLR Models and Berry Hill Works on site for all your needs.
Please don't forget Rick Collet is opening his railway from 1pm for you all to enjoy and run your locomotives or just watch and chat.
Factory opens from 10am.

We appreciate this is a bit of a longer video but we wanted to highlight the effort that goes into spray painting a locomotive body. All the bodies are first sand blasted, primed, scotched down and are finally glossed and baked. There are many issues that can occur such as, paint reactions and tiny pin holes in the brass can show up often requiring them to be filled and then repainted. Sometimes the bodies have to be stripped of paint altogether and the process starts again to ensure that show room finish we aspire to achieve. And this is just for the locomotive bodies, not to mention all the other parts on our engines that go through the same process. In this video you can see Bren expertly painting a Taliesin body ready for the next batch.
