Back down to Dorset today for the camera setup of a GMM Brio, clear image and accurate again 👌

Working in Surrey today carrying out investigations as to why the camera on a GMM Brio CNC had stopped working.

We found after the usual checks that the network configuration was wrong and the machine could not see the camera,in addition to this the camera cable had been very badly terminated at some point and had wire exposed.
Re-terminated and IP address changes made and camera worked again.

Next was the supply and fit of a new USB port and cable as original unit had become very temperamental.

Lastly the customer wanted the machine adding to their factory network in order to send drawings direct to the saw so cables were ran, network settings made and short cut from the office created.

Oxfordshire today to investigate roof camera problems, camera refusing to take images.

After conducting electrical tests, trying a new Silex box and cables we discovered the camera power supply is not supplying any voltage despite the transformer emitting 9volts.

New power supply required and roof camera setup to be carried out shortly .

Visited North Wales today to investigate sizing errors when cutting mitres on a GMM Extra 400

The blade measure device was found to be providing incorrect information so calibration was carried out, also the slab probe was exaggerating material thickness by 1.5mm so recalibrated.

The W axis was found to be out of alignment along with machine offset quote problems so all were adjusted before test cuts to prove machine was now accurate once again.

Derbyshire today resolving network credentials issues at a customers site, problem was found to be a compatibility error between windows 10 & 11 used in the office and windows seven embedded on the saws.

Some software downloads and configuration got everything talking and allowing drawings to be sent to the two GMM saws.

Plymouth today for the supply and installation of a new vacuum gauge following failure of their original unit.

Luckily for the customer we were working in Devon and had replacements in the van, machine now able to carry out vacuum movements again returning production to capacity.

Devon today for the supply and fit of new Y axis bearings and grease flow divider on a GMM Brio CNC.

We noticed the rail and bearings did not look their best when we carried out a service of the machine, today our suspicions were confirmed both Y axis bearings had totally collapsed allowing the release of bearings.

New units now installed and running freely along its rail.

Y axis bearings also now being supplied with grease following supply and installation of a new grease flow divider.

Visited Dorset today to carry out two tasks on a GMM Brio CNC.

Firstly supply and installation of new main and secondary grease flow dividers as both originals were blocked and not suppling any bearings or rails. New units now installed and flow restored.

Secondly camera arm installed and camera plate attached ready for setup following a collision.
