☀️ A quick solar update from TF Pumps.

We had our 80kWp system fitted mid-2025, and it's already pulling its weight. April alone produced 16,347 kWh, and total generation since installation is approaching 97,500 kWh.

We're not going to pretend solar panels solve everything, but for a business that uses a fair amount of power day to day, generating a meaningful chunk of it ourselves feels like the right direction to be heading, less grid dependence, lower running costs, and a smaller footprint. We'll take that.

📦 Out the door this week: a Finish Thompson DB11P-8P sealless magnetic-drive pump in polypropylene, heading to a UK-based photochemical etching specialist supplying precision-etched metal components to the aerospace, medical, automotive, and electronics sectors.

Photochemical etching is a process built around aggressive chemistry. Acid etchants, ferric chloride, nitric acid, and others, selectively dissolve sheet metal to produce highly detailed components that conventional machining can't match. That means every etchant transfer, recirculation, and top-up line in the plant needs a pump that can handle corrosive fluids day in, day out, without leaking.
