VANCOUVER, BC:
This is a surprisingly high rise and high density city with many living in 25-40 storey apartments which makes it good for the environment. Laid out on a grid, the scenery around it is outstanding - it’s super clean and organised with trolley buses (which we had in Derby!!) acting as the main transport system.

Glue laminated timber in great use here as a locally sourced product.

See the mixture of old church and new apartment! The quality of the architecture and no ‘lick and stick’ red brickwork of student-ville Derby!

The small projects can provide the biggest impact to a living space and the people who live and work there. This domestic extension will make a huge difference to the house environment. Once finished the existing ‘50’s lean-to will be removed providing a patio space and clear access to the garden. The post is all to my design more than ample to support the roof and flat panel roof window.
