Spray Painting A Brand New Trailer 🚛🎨🖌️

In this video, Lewis , our in-house spray booth technician, gets started on a brand new Colson 45yd³ ‘Semi Bulker’ tipper trailer, preparing it for a custom respray in Ford Frozen White.

Before any paint can go down, the preparation has to be right. Lewis starts by removing the factory stickers and stripping back the original grey factory finish from the body, before sanding & prepping the trailer to a high standard.

With a brand new trailer, getting the surface properly prepared is key to achieving the best possible finish for the customer. This is where the transformation begins!

BP Mitchell’s New ‘Semi Bulker’! 🚛💪

Today, BP Mitchell Ltd collected their brand-new 45yd³ ‘Semi Bulker’ from our Derby depot, and what a beauty she is!

Built for high volume haulage, the Semi Bulker combines our tough steel halfpipe design with extra capacity, making it ideal for demanding loads including aggregates, muck & rock. This unit comes equipped with a Hardox steel body, Hyva ram, SAF axles & air suspension, Jost landing legs, Wabco EBS, Aspock electrics and super singles, giving BP Mitchell a trailer built for strength, reliability & plenty of hard work.

Part 3 | And That's a Wrap - Convoy In The Park 🚛📸🔥

We've got one more selection of photos from our fantastic weekend at Donington Park , showcasing even more of the incredible trucks, trailers & setups at the showthat made the event one to remember.

From & units to impressive trucks from Collins Earthworks Ltd , Dromgoole & Sons, Chris Hayles, LA_LightBars Ltd & Chrome North West, there was no shortage of fantastic machinery on display throughout the weekend. There was also the Keltruck Scania stage setup adding to the atmosphere across the showground!

A huge thank you once again to everyone who joined us, brought their trucks along, visited the stand, grabbed some food & refreshments, or simply stopped by for a chat. It was a brilliant weekend from start to finish, and we're already looking forward to doing it all again!

Part 2 | More from Convoy in the Park! 🚛📸🔥

With so much going on across the stand, we couldn't fit everything into one post, so here's Part 2 with more photos from an incredible weekend at Donington Park Circuit!

From our flagship NH12 Bullnose & V8 T-Cab tractor units to customer trucks & trailers from across the industry, there was an incredible variety of units on display. Among the many impressive units on display were Colson Trailers from Crown Waste Management & Gwynedd Skip and Plant Hire Ltd, alongside their own trucks.

With over 50 units joining us throughout the weekend, it was fantastic to see so many customers & friends bringing their trucks along, with plenty of Colson Trailers out on display too!

What a weekend at Convoy in the Park! 🚛💨🔥

At Donington Park Circuit, had a full display stand booked out for Colson Trailers, inviting customers & friends to bring along their trucks & trailers for an incredible display! With over 50 units joining us on the stand throughout the weekend, it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces & some seriously impressive trucks all together in one place celebrating what we all love!

Alongside our customers & friends’ trucks on display, we had our very own flagship tractor units, the Volvo NH12 Bullnose & Scania V8 T-Cab (freshly touched-up by our in-house spray tech Lewis Onemancommercialpainting).

Keeping everyone fuelled throughout the weekend was an award-winning BBQ from Deakin's Family Butchers🔥🍔, alongside plenty of on-tap & chilled refreshments at Ray's Mobile Bar 😎🍻

A huge thank you to everyone who joined for a fantastic weekend of trucks, trailers, great food & even better company. We couldn't have done it without all of you!

Dynamic Duo | Two More Tippers for Crown! 🚛🚛

Yesterday, the team from Crown Waste Management stopped by our Derby depot to collect not one, but two brand-new Colson tipper trailers!

First up is the 35yd³ ‘Heavy Duty’, our robust steel Halfpipe built to handle demanding materials including aggregates, muck & rock. Featuring a Hardox steel body, SAF axles & air suspension, Edbro ram & Jost landing legs, it’s built tough for hard-working applications.

Alongside it, the 35yd³ ‘Aluminium Superlite’ offers a lightweight alternative, featuring an 8mm 6000 series hardened aluminium floor, 6mm aluminium sides, SAF axles & air suspension, Edbro ram & aluminium landing gear. Designed with aggregate & sand haulage in mind, it combines durability with reduced weight.

Two different Halfpipes, two different strengths, both built to keep the Crown Crew moving forwards.
