🌟 PlayFit This Summer! 🌟

We're delighted to be continuing our PlayFit sessions throughout the summer holidays, giving families a fun, welcoming and inclusive space to play, move, connect and make memories together.

Thanks to the support of Amber Valley, our PlayFit sessions at the Charles Hill Centre have been subsidised for the summer, meaning families can attend for just £5 per session (instead of our usual £10 per family).

PlayFit is designed for the whole family to enjoy together, with a range of activities including sensory play, crafts, games, movement activities and opportunities to socialise in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Finding the right support for your child can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it on your own. At SEN-Fit, we're here to support not only children to build confidence, friendships and enjoy being active, but parents too.

We are a welcoming community, people who understand and here to support you every step of the way. Sometimes, all it takes is taking that first step. 💙

💬 Sometimes the hardest part is simply getting out of the door, especially when you are carrying so much as a SEND parent or carer.

Walk and Talk gives you a reason to take a little time for yourself, get some fresh air, and connect with others who understand the ups, downs, paperwork, appointments, worries, wins and everyday reality of SEND family life. 🌿

You don’t have to explain everything. You don’t have to mask. You don’t have to be having a “good day” to join us.

Our walks are friendly, relaxed and inclusive. You can walk at your own pace, talk as much or as little as you want, and take part in a way that feels right for you. 🚶‍♀️💛

Movement can support wellbeing, but connection matters too and this session brings both together.

We’d love you to join us. 🌈

Walk and Talk: A gentle step towards support

🌿 Walk and Talk is more than just a walk — it’s a chance for SEND parents and carers to move, breathe, talk, and feel supported. 💛

We know that life as a SEND parent can feel busy, emotional, isolating and exhausting at times. Our Walk and Talk sessions are here to create a friendly, non-judgemental space where you can get active at your own pace while connecting with people who understand. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

No pressure. No fitness expectations. No need to be “good at exercise”. Just comfortable shoes, a warm welcome, and a gentle step forward. 🌈

Whether you want to chat, listen, walk quietly, or just be around others, you are welcome.

Meet at Shipley Country Park , Derbyshire- Main carpark, by the Black Half Wheel at 09:30.

No cost to attend, option to stay for a cuppa after

✨ Couch to OK is exactly what it says — getting from the couch to feeling OK about moving your body. 💛

This is not about speed, distance, weight loss, competition or becoming a runner overnight. It’s about building confidence, routine and movement in a way that feels safe, friendly and achievable. 🚶‍♀️➡️🏃‍♀️

You might walk. You might jog a little. You might need breaks. You might feel nervous. That is all completely OK.

Our sessions are SEND-inclusive, beginner-friendly and supportive. We understand that everyone’s energy, confidence, sensory needs, fitness levels and starting points are different. 🌈

We’ll celebrate every step, even the tiny ones. Because tiny steps still move you forward. 👟

If you’ve been thinking “I’m not fit enough to start”, this is your reminder: you do not need to be fit to begin. You just need a safe place to start. 💪

Get ready for a morning of exploring, creating, squishing, scooping, and having lots of messy fun! 🎨🫧🌿

We are hosting a Messy Play session designed to encourage creativity, sensory exploration, confidence, and play in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Perfect for little ones to learn through play while making new friends!

Are you looking for a holiday club where your child feels understood, supported and included? 💛

Our SEN-Fit Holiday Club gives children and young people with SEND a safe, welcoming space to enjoy the school holidays at their own pace.

Sessions include a mix of active games, sports, crafts, sensory activities, themed fun, cooking opportunities and social time — all adapted to different needs, confidence levels and abilities. 🌈

Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or not, they are welcome here.
