Some people will go to extraordinary measures to do a job badly!
This collection of parts was an engine speed control fitted by a professional boat fitter on a Lister JP3. And believe it or not the socket set formed part of the system 🙄
All replaced with our ever popular engine throttle leverbox. Owners now has full control of the engine and given them confidence in handling the boat

Following on from our previous post regarding oils and filters we would like to clarify what we currently have in stock.
If demand is there, this range will expand.

Golden film 30 in both 25ltr drums and 5ltr cans. £115 and £30
Versimax HD4 15/40 in 5ltr cans. £30
80/90 GL4 gear oil in 1ltr bottles. £8.50
ATF in 1 ltr bottles. £8.50
Glycol antifreeze in 5ltr cans. £22

If we can increase the volume of sales then we know we can reduce the price. That we cannot control, it's entirely down to the consumer. Hopefully we can help each other

With the impending closure of the Midland Chandlers shops, we would like to make customers aware that we have increased our stock of lubricants to hopefully meet demand and fill the gap that will be left behind.
If demand is there, we will also stock oils and filters for the more modern engines alongside the large range we currently carry for the older engines

This week we are tackling a gearbox repair on this Kelvin K3.
The reported fault was a grumbling noise when in astern. This would usually indicate worn bearings on the layshaft, however upon beginning the dismantling are rather more serious problem came to light!
