We're looking for a technician to help provide consultancy services using our next generation scanning and metrology equipment. This will include both on and offsite scanning, scan processing, calibration and methods development.

Two scanners. One complete dataset.

On a recent classic car project we used both the Artec Ray II and the Artec Leo. They do very different jobs, and together they cover everything.

Artec Ray II (tripod-mounted laser scanner)
🔸 Captures whole vehicles, and larger objects, from a distance.
🔸 Fast, with millimetre-level accuracy across the entire vehicle.
🔸 Gives us accurate dimensions and a solid foundation.

Artec Leo (handheld wireless scanner)
🔸 Gets close, with accuracy down to 0.1mm.
🔸 Reaches tight areas like wheel arches and the engine bay.
🔸 On-board processing, so scan build up in real time.

Why use both? The Ray II captures the big picture quickly and accurately. The Leo then adds fine detail exactly where it’s needed. Both datasets are merged into one model, so you get global accuracy and fine detail without wasting time or creating unnecessarily heavy files.
