We’re been a little quiet on socials recently but can finally share our exciting updates with our followers🥳
As many of you know, in 2024 we took a huge leap (&risk) to digitalise the shop, meaning that we swapped notepads and pens for computers and scanners. As a shop stocking over 30,000 products, this wasn’t as simple as it first sounded. It could’ve been easier but we pride ourselves in how we trade compared to bigger high street retailers (e.g selling individual fixings & fittings, not just multipacks) so wanted to continue this.
Almost 2 years later and we are ALMOST there, it’s taken lots of patience, setbacks, training and counting… we gained new team members (including our youngest ever👶🏼), new computers, new processes but we are still the same old Gibson’s❗️
Last week we FINALLY integrated our online stores so have full stock control and tracked stock levels, something that we have never had.
This may seem small, however it opens a huge new door for us in the online world. Our website is now under huge maintenance to upload our stock and allow you to check & order from the comfort of your home. It’s a long manual job (we’ve only got scanners, unfortunately not robots yet) but all hands are on deck to continue serving Darwen & the UK the way we always have, the best📌
