This week a new Hitachi / Landcros 135 excavator arrived!
It’s gone straight out to make a start on a wetland habitat creation project.
We are adding another scrape and re-wetting more of the valley to create more diverse habitats.
Other projects include slipway repairs, bulk earthworks and forestry haul road works.

With the final site visit of the year done I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas!
It’s been a busy year with several great marine projects including sea wall, tidal swimming pool and slipway repairs.
Our little ZX70 long reach excavator had a full make over so it’s looking like new again!

Lovely day to be out and about doing deliveries and site visits - not a bad place to stop for a pasty!!

It’s been a busy start to the year several interesting projects to get on with.
While we had that dry spell we nipped out with the Dozer to push up 600m of new hedge banks. There’s been several marine projects starting, ferry slipway repairs and sea wall collapses to rebuild.
The long reaches have been out on dredging projects and our annual forestry and wetland projects are wrapping up for another year.

Here’s a few pictures of some of our recent projects.

A large hole had appeared in the sea wall at Mount Batten.
We carefully removed the remaining stones before mass filling the void with concrete. We then rebuilt it using the old stones to match in with the existing style.

Other projects have included extending forestry haul roads, lake and dock de silting and more investigation works on another collapsing sea wall.

Well that’s it for this year, looking forward to a few days off before it all starts again in the new year!
