Due to continued expansion, JJ Steelwork are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team at our new workshop in Barnard Castle.

🗓️ Immediate start
⏳ 40 hours per week
💰 Wage negotiable depending on experience
🚧 Interesting and varied projects

We’re looking for someone hardworking, reliable, isn’t afraid to do some outdoor installs/ repairs and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Now that the show has aired we can share this job… At the end of march we installed over 70 gates, water troughs and socketed post to the new 30 metre roundhouse at cannon hall.

Everyone involved put a monumental amount of effort in with early starts and late finishes to get the job complete in time for the sheep to come in.

We even had a little appearance on springtime on the farm!

This job was the biggest one to date but is just the beginning. This year has already been great but we have some incredible jobs lined up which will make 2026 our best year yet! Can’t wait to show what the future holds!

Well 2025 was definitely a year of growth… looking forward to 2026!

The last bits we finished in between Christmas and new year was a few little jobs for a return customer.

- Replacement galvanised service boxes for concrete troughs.

- Shortening an old gate, concreting in a post and fitting the gate and a slam plate into a lean to.

- Supplying and fitting a tubular head rail to a timber framed shed to create a feed fence.

- Supplying and fitting box section bars for hanging feeders.

- Removing an old water trough and fitting a new one on a new plinth.

We’ve got some exciting work booked in already for 2026 so let’s see how much we grow this year!

We’re cracking on with our next batch of diagonal barriers! 🌾

These ones will be mounted to concrete feed troughs, making a super easy, moveable feed fence for an outdoor cattle yard. 🐂

The bandsaw’s having a well-earned break this time — the laser-cut tubes are helping us fly through the job! ⚡️

They’ll be off to the galvanisers next week, so keep an eye out for the finished product photos! 🔧✨

Nice trip to south Lincolnshire installing a 12x6m fertiliser bund today. Using precast L walls and wall panels from Low Grange Quarry Limited made it an easy job.

Only 3 hours after getting to site (including a quick McDonald’s breakfast from a very accommodating customer) the first of three 50m3 tanks was being positioned. 💪

Saturday shift complete ✅

This morning we have installed an 11m x 5m bund ready for liquid fertiliser tanks just outside Grantham.

This is the first of two that we are installing for this customer with the second due to go in at the beginning of next month near Peterborough.

No problem for JJ Steelwork 💪
