Couple of late nights this week fitting out a Subsea Junction Box for a Renewables Client. This in prep for an upcoming operation.

✅ Perform pressure testing

Onboard the Skandi Involver this week, assisting with Subsea operations. Deployment of 1.5MW tidal generator and retrieving some monitoring equipment for the Natural Energy Research Council 🌊

Highland Engineering Services….. International! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇯🇵

The past month has been spent here in Japan at the Nagasaki Machinery Works. Providing Project Supervision on a turbine overhaul & retrofitting of various upgrades on behalf of our UK based client.

These works being carried out will increase the Capacity of this Tidal Generator from 500kw to 1.1 Megawatts.

The pitch system we built in Scotland earlier this year finally arrived on site this week and is currently being prepared for install.

An absolute pleasure working with the team here, the motivation and focus is second to none!💪

33 tonne Variable Pitch System for a Subsea Tidal Generator we have been kitting out from the bare bones over the last few months.

This one is bound for the Goto islands Japan 🇯🇵

✅Bearing installation and preload adjustment
✅Assembly & install of seawater seals
✅ Installation of 3 x Planetary drive Gearboxes & 3 x Electric drive motors
✅Installation of automatic L**e System & Bilge
✅Assembly & Comissioning of test rig
✅Assist Clients Controls Engineers with Load testing on test bed at various stages.
✅Pressure & Vacuum testing
✅All aspects of Mechanical Assembly performed

Overhaul of Subsea launch and recovery equipment for one of our Marine Renewables clients earlier this year, Works carried out included -

✅ Complete strip down & Inspection
✅ Rust Descaling and chemical treatment
✅ Weld Repairs and upgrades to support frame
✅ Maintenance & testing of hydraulic components
✅ Application of 2 pack Epoxy Primer & Topcoat
✅ Complete Reassembly
✅ Mounting of Submersible lights & Cameras

Recent Site works carried out during the Summer to infeed deck at a Highland Alternative Fuels plant. 🌲 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

✅ Drive and tailshafts replaced
✅ New Drive and Idler Sprockets
✅ All Bearings Renewed
✅ Conveyor Chains and flights replaced
✅ New Gearbox and Drive motor installed
