Proud moment: Andrew Scott used our aerial imagery of the completed Pontneddfechan Waterfalls Visitor Centre up on the big screens at their company forum — months after we delivered it. That's the real test of a good dataset: is it still good enough to put in front of the whole team later? 📸

Last week we took a trip to Midwich's HQ getting the full run-through of what's new from DJI Enterprise, as one of their approved drone distribution partners.

It's a good reminder of something we say to a lot of civil engineering and groundworks clients: buying a DJI Enterprise drone and actually getting usable survey or inspection data out of it are two different problems. We supply the full DJI Enterprise range, and just as importantly, GVC/A2 CofC/ bespoke training and workflow know-how to get the accuracy and reporting your project actually needs from it.

Some restoration projects need more than a good eye — they need a full 3D dataset architects can actually design around. At the Lower Swansea Valley Copperworks, Andrew Scott is restoring chimneys among the last of their kind still standing (the Musgrave Engine House on site is genuinely one-of-a-kind — BBC covered it).

The remains are significant enough they've shaped the whole redevelopment's design. Physical access to structures like this is tightly restricted, so we captured a full 3D survey of the chimneys and handed it straight to the restoration team — a model they could measure, section and plan repairs from without a single scaffold going up.
