Epilepsy affects around 1 in 100 people in the UK — which means most nurseries, schools and care settings will encounter it. Knowing how to respond calmly, keep someone safe during a seizure and recognise when it becomes an emergency is knowledge worth having before you need it.

Today is Emergency Services Day 💙 A moment to recognise everyone who answers the call when it matters most.

It's also a good reminder of something we talk about a lot in our First Aid training: in those first few minutes before help arrives, the person best placed to make a difference is whoever is already in the room.

That's what first aid training is really for. Not replacing the emergency services — but bridging the gap until they get there.

An Ofsted inspection can be called with very little notice. Is your training documentation ready?

Inspectors will want to see that mandatory training is current, that records are properly maintained and that your team can demonstrate the knowledge behind the certificates.
