It’s world dictionary day which is the perfect time to delve into the meaning of words we often use. With that in mind what actually is a prefabricated steel portal frame?
Prefabricated - a structure, product or component made beforehand off site, ready for quick installation or er****on.
Steel - a strong metal that is a mixture of iron and carbon, used for making things that need a strong structure, especially vehicles and buildings
Portal - A way to get or do something
Frame - The basic structure of a building, vehicle or piece of furniture that other parts are added onto
So in a nutshell, we create the steel frame components in our own fabrication workshop and deliver them direct to site, meaning a much quicker efficient build process on site.
