Great to see JC Metalworks apprentices taking a project from design through to build with this soapbox.
From shaping the panels to getting the fit and finish right, this has been a proper hands‑on exercise in design, fabrication and problem‑solving – not just theory.
Projects like this give apprentices the chance to think, make mistakes, fix them, and see a finished product take shape. Exactly how engineering skills are built.
Frances is leading the project and driving the fundraising effort. She has set up a JustGiving page with a target of £750, raising money to support children and young adults with additional needs to access and take part in sport.
