At Bruntons we have been at the forefront of marine propulsion since 1908.

During the Second World War our engineers assisted the navy with propulsion systems for a wide variety of craft and despite the need to find solutions rapidly, performance and reliability were never compromised.

Digging into our archives we came across the results of sea trials on MGB61 using increased boost Rolls Royce Merlin engines.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome representatives from Goatys Marine in Melbourne to discuss opportunities for increased future collaboration and growth in the Australian marine market.

The meeting focused on strengthening our partnership and exploring opportunities to further develop the Australian market for AutoProp, Varifold and SigmaDrive products. When we get together with distributors it is always a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss market opportunities and look at how we can work together to support customers and expand our presence.

We look forward to building on the discussions and developing a strong and successful collaboration with Goaty’s Marine in the future. Together we succeed!

Autoprop, Varifold, SigmaDrive and more will be on display at Öppet Varv 2026 with our distributor Arken Teknik from the 21st-23rd August.

The Bruntons Team will be at Scandinavia's largest sailing yacht show to answer all your questions on propulsion and to help with technical advice for those looking to replace or upgrade their yacht's propeller. As the manufacturers of the unique Autoprop, talking to Bruntons is a must if considering any propulsion changes!

The show which is now in its 33rd year is hosted at Hallberg-Rassy's shipyard and marina in Ellös on island Orust, West Sweden, with 127 boats on display in 2025!
