IMPORTANT UPDATE: Thinking about going renewable? Now’s the time to plan ahead!

From 1 April 2027, VAT on solar panels, battery storage, air source heat pumps, EV chargers and other eligible renewable installations is set to increase from 0% to 5%.

That could mean an extra £750 on a £15,000 installation.

Important: To benefit from the current 0% rate, your installation must be fully completed by 31 March 2027. With potential delays on DNO approvals, it pays to get the ball rolling early!
