With rising costs everywhere, we remain focused on continuous improvements to drive efficiency as much as possible.

This week we are upgrading our old nitrogen generator for the latest and most efficient technology.

Why do we use nitrogen?
We use it in our laser cutting process for the best edge quality
Cutting with high purity nitrogen gives the cleanest edge with the best paint adhesion
Alternatively, cutting with compressed air or oxygen leaves a carbon film on the cut edge which powder paint does not adhere to

Why do we generate nitrogen onsite as opposed to using transported liquid nitrogen?
Generating nitrogen gas onsite costs less per m3
Does not require road transport - Better for the environment
Generators do not waste gas unlike liquid systems

Why is the latest Nitrocube 2 Eco technology better?
More efficient generator reduces the cost per m3
More efficient generator technology produces more nitrogen for every Kw electricity used
Uses less compressed air in the process saving energy and compressor running costs
Can be programmed to operate only when lower cost night time energy rates are available

Delivering for 2 new clients

Momentum is building with new 2 clients from the Manufacturing Show in February.

One, a specialist in advanced sensors needing a reliable partner for precision CNC machined parts, and a second manufacturer of bespoke hardware solutions needs a supplier of quality sheet metal enclosures.

In the last 6 weeks, we have received 12 new orders and made several deliveries, gaining some positive feedback… ‘We are impressed with all aspects of your service, and it is a refreshing experience compared with several of our past suppliers.’

We are relishing the prospect of building 2 new partnerships, and we look forward to helping them succeed in the coming months, years, and hopefully decades.

New parts now in production, following on from conversations at Southern Manufacturing 2026 👏

It’s great to see projects discussed at the show already moving into live manufacturing. From initial enquiry to confirmed order and now production. This is exactly the kind of momentum we hope for from events like this.

When manufacturing starts to feel complicated, delivery usually follows.

One simple thing we often suggest is looking at how many suppliers and handovers sit around a single component.

For example, we regularly see opportunities where machining is handled by one supplier, sheet metalwork by another, finishing somewhere else, and assembly done separately again. Each handover adds another conversation, another transfer of information, and another opportunity for details to drift.

Bringing more of that work together helps keep things clearer. Responsibility is easier to define, communication is more direct, and quality is easier to control across the whole process. That is why we’ve built a broad range of joined up services, including machining, sheet metalwork, finishing and assembly.

Reducing complexity at component level doesn’t just save time. It makes outcomes far more predictable.

Precision isn’t just about hitting a tolerance once.

It’s about being able to do it again, next month, the month after that, and when the same part comes back into production a year later.

In one of our recent CNC repeat-production projects, that’s exactly what mattered. The drawings didn’t change, but the expectation was simple: every delivery needed to be just as good as the last. Same fit, same finish and no surprises.

That kind of consistency doesn’t come from people remembering what to do. It comes from people creating a reliable process and knowing where to pay attention because you’ve seen issues before they happen.

That’s what keeps repeat production dependable.

We’re proud to shout about our technology and processes but the real strength at Broxton? It’s always been the people.

Last month, we celebrated two more long service milestones:
Andy: 20 years at Broxton, marked with a wristwatch of his choice.
Scott: also 20 years, rewarded with vouchers to Barbury Shooting School where he competes at regional level.

When you’ve been in business for over 50 years, you learn that loyalty, skill and teamwork are what keep things moving not just on the shop floor, but in the relationships we build with customers too.

We’re lucky to have clients who’ve been with us for over a decade and some for more than 30 years. That kind of trust comes from doing things the right way, day in and day out.

So here’s to Andy, Scott, and everyone else who’s helped make Broxton what it is.

Some of our favourite jobs started with someone saying “that’s going to be challenging.” Tight internal features, multiple operations and parts that need precision machining.
