🎬Behind the Scenes at Locker & Riley!

Ever wondered what goes into creating those breathtaking architectural details? We recently took a trip to visit the master craftsmen at Locker & Riley to show you how they do it!

From grand cornices to intricate decorative panels, seeing our materials in the hands of such talented plasterers is what we live for.

To achieve that signature high-quality finish, the team used a blend of our Prestia Casting Plaster and Prestia Normal Plus. By mixing the two, they got the perfect balance of workability and added structural strength for those heavy-duty architectural pieces you see in the video.

⚖️ 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿
Looking to expand the versatility of your standard plasters? Vermiculite Superfine is a naturally produced, specialised mineral, heated to high temperatures to produce flake-like parts that are completely non-toxic.

By incorporating this superfine grade into your plaster, you can significantly reduce the weight of a cast. This reduction opens up a far wider range of applications, making it an ideal solution for projects where weight is a primary concern.

Additionally, we also stock Vermiculite Medium. Incorporating the medium grade will produce an even lighter cast; however, it will reduce plaster strength slightly more than the superfine grade.

We recently visited Danbury Plaster Mouldings to see their talented plasterers' work in action!

It was a great privilege to see our Siniat Prestia Casting Plaster being paired with Prestia Creation Plaster to create some impressive cornices. By mixing the two, they achieved a harder finish on their decorative casts.

We recently visited our valued customers, ARM Fibrous Plaster Mouldings, to capture their amazing craftsmanship for a nearby airport project.

To achieve the high-strength finish required for this GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) work, the team used a mix of Prestia Creation Plaster and Formula’s Fine Casting Plus Plaster.
