Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Water Jet Machine Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating water jet cutting machinery, ensuring high-quality output, maintaining equipment, and adhering to all safety and quality standards. This role will also comprise of working within our other depts (Polyurethane/Machining/Fabrication/Assembley) when cover is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor water jet cutting machinery in line with production requirements

Carry out routine checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment

Ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning efficiently and safely

Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards

Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications

Identify and verify materials prior to processing

Perform quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively across departments

Skills & Experience Required

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Ability to identify materials and understand production processes

Reliable, hardworking, and proactive attitude

Desirable (Not Essential)

Forklift truck licence

Previous experience operating water jet or similar CNC machinery

Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems

Personal Attributes

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Strong work ethic and dependability

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* Must be confident in using Guillotine, Press Breaks, Rollers, and all other common fabrication machinery.

* Confidence to work on your own and part of a team.

Previous experience is essential.

Rate of pay will be dependent on your experience.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 08.00am – 5.00pm.

We are a busy manufacturing/engineering company based in Staveley, Chesterfield, just off Junction 29A on the M1.

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various construction, maintenance, and manufacturing activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop practical skills in a dynamic environment. The role involves physical labour and requires a proactive attitude to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Duties

Assisting with loading, unloading, and moving materials around the site or workshop
Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks, including holding or passing tools and materials
Preparing work areas by cleaning and organising equipment and supplies
Operating basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
Assisting with packaging/boxing of goods ready for despatch
Assisting with site safety checks and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment
Supporting the assembly or disassembly of structures or equipment as required
Following health and safety regulations at all times to ensure personal and team safety.
Skills
Basic mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance
Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
Experience with power tools including drills, saws, or grinders is advantageous
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed· Fork truck licence desirable
· Good customer service skills – ability to deal with customers in a professional manner

· Team player with a can-do flexible attitude

· Confidence to work on your own using your initiative to get jobs done

Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (preferred)
