Another successful repair completed by Vernison Elite Automotive 🔧

Vehicle: Skoda Octavia VRS DSG

The customer was advised by Skoda Auto that the vehicle required a full gearbox replacement at a cost of £9,500+ plus additional charges.

After carrying out our extensive diagnostic procedure, we identified the true fault — clutch sensor 2 on the mechatronics unit.

✅ Replaced both clutch 1 and clutch 2 sensors
✅ Completed specialist repair to the mechatronics unit — a service even main dealers don’t offer
✅ Carried out a full gearbox service while on site
✅ Restored gearbox performance back to manufacturer standard

Total cost to the customer: £760

That’s less than 10% of the original main dealer quote, saving thousands of pounds and avoiding an unnecessary gearbox replacement.

Sorry for the quiet spell on our page — we’ve been very, very busy, which is always a good problem to have 💪

Yesterday’s job was one that many mechanics won’t touch:

🚐 Transit Minibus – Non-Start Issue Sorted!
Had a call-out today from a local scout group whose minibus refused to start. A couple of hours of diagnostics and repairs later, and she’s back up and running, ready for their next outing! 🔧✨

🚗 Busy day at Vernison Elite Automotive! 🔧

First up, a Mercedes GLC came in with a brake warning light on. After inspection, both the front and rear brake pads were below the service limit — all replaced and the vehicle is now back to stopping safely and smoothly. ✔️

Next, a Mercedes Sprinter was struggling with poor parking brake performance. Traced the issue to a snapped parking brake cable. A new cable was supplied, fitted, and the van is now back to full working order. 💪

🚐 Cracking job completed today by Vernison Elite Automotive!

Today we had a Volkswagen Caddy in with an engine warning light. First challenge — the bonnet wouldn’t open! Faulty bonnet latch repaired, then full diagnostics carried out, revealing a cylinder 3 injector fault.

After thorough wiring checks, we confirmed an internal electrical failure to the injector. As always, we complete a full inspection to make sure the right repair is done first time.
