🏗️ PROJECT – LAKE VYRNWY

Scaffolding now complete around the memorial monument at Lake Vyrnwy, providing safe access for essential maintenance and repair works.

There is a huge amount of history surrounding this site. Construction of the Vyrnwy Dam began in 1881, creating the reservoir to supply Liverpool with drinking water. The dam was completed in 1890 and remains one of the great achievements of Victorian engineering.

Close to the dam stands the Grade II listed Memorial Obelisk to the Lake Vyrnwy Workers, erected by their fellow workmen. It commemorates 44 men who lost their lives during the construction of the dam and associated reservoir works — 10 through site accidents and 34 from other causes.

It’s a privilege for us to play a small part in helping preserve a monument that remembers the men behind one of Wales’ most significant engineering projects. 👷‍♂️

🏗️ WREXHAM TOWN CENTRE PROJECT UPDATE 🏗️

Another job nearly over the finish line in Wrexham town centre! 🤝

Just as we were getting close to completion and handover, the client requested to change the design and have requested a temporary roof system to be installed.

Not a problem — we’ll adapt, redesign and get it achieved. 💪

At Owen Access Ltd, we pride ourselves on being able to react quickly to changes on site and find the right solution to keep projects moving forward.

A few more alterations, plenty of hard work from the team and we’ll have this one wrapped up. 👊

Project update – the Kingsway 🏗️

Phase 2 is now nearing completion for MPH Construction, with just a few final bits to tie up this morning, along with the pull testing of the scaffold ties.

Once completed, we’ll be ready for handover ahead of schedule once again — another project delivered safely, efficiently and on programme. 🤝

Phase One Complete – Steam Mill Street ✅

We’re pleased to hand over the first phase of scaffolding at Steam Mill Street, providing safe access for the roof repair works to begin. Projects like this require careful planning and a scaffold that allows the trades to work safely and efficiently while keeping disruption to a minimum.
