You can tell the weather is changing…….the colder temperatures are a big factor in the following.
One of the first DC/DC converter faults of the season. The owner of this Defender 130, A new customer to us contacted the office this morning after a recommendation from another garage due to a battery charging fault .
We asked them to pop straight in as we carry both common DC/DC converters on the shelf and they are a relatively quick and easy job to replace. First we diagnosed the issue to confirm the fault was a DC/DC failure. 👍
Then picked one from stores and fitted onto the car. Followed by programming with the most recent software from the JLR server and also updated several other related ECU’s.
They were happy with the fast turnaround and also the price as apparently we were the cheapest price they had been offered after phoning round several other workshops in the morning. Not that we aim to be the cheapest but we do always offer the honest price involved to the job to a high standard. None other were able/wanted to accommodate them at such short notice though.
Another one fixed and onto the next 😎
