It’s rewarding to see what skilled hands make with the timber we supply.

💙 Messages like this make our day. 📦

We recently received this lovely email from returning customer Penny:

“Thank you so much for another brilliant delivery. Your driver is a lovely man. We are very impressed and will be ordering again soon.”

Thank you, Penny — we really appreciate you taking the time to get in touch.

For us, good service isn’t simply about getting an order from A to B. It’s about being reliable, helpful and making sure our customers have a positive experience from the moment they order to the moment we deliver.

And when a customer tells us they’ll be ordering again, that’s about the best feedback we could ask for.

A big well done to our delivery team too — you’re often the face of W Burton & Sons when an online order reaches its destination, and comments like this show why that matters.

HARDWOOD FOR WORK THAT GETS NOTICED.

Choosing hardwood is about more than colour. Stability, durability, machining characteristics, finish and intended use all matter—and different projects demand different species.

Our current hardwood range includes:

• European Oak
• American White Oak
• American White Ash
• Sapele
• Iroko
• Idigbo
• Dark Red Meranti
• Tulipwood
• Western Red Cedar

From premium furniture, cabinetry and worktops to doors, windows, gates, exterior joinery and cladding, our team can help you compare the available options and identify the right timber for the job.

Visit our Bramshall depot to examine the boards in person, browse the full range online or send us the dimensions and quantities you require.

Stock, available sections and board lengths change regularly, so check online or contact the team before travelling for a particular size.

POSTS THAT GO THE DISTANCE.

One fencing project can ask very different things of a post. A boundary fence, livestock enclosure, paddock, straining point and tree stake will not necessarily need the same diameter, finish or treatment—so choosing the right timber matters.

W Burton & Sons stocks:

• Smooth, uniform machine-round posts for a consistent finish
• Machine-round diameters from 50mm to 200mm across the range
• Selected UC4 ground-contact posts with a stated 15-year service life
• Peeled and Cundy posts for practical, cost-effective agricultural fencing
• Treated strainer posts for corners, ends and tension points
• Half-round rails for traditional post-and-rail fencing
• Round jump poles and options for equestrian projects
• Green-treated and creosoted products in selected sizes

Suitable for livestock and paddock fencing, boundaries, post-and-rail installations, tree planting, equestrian projects and general landscaping.

If you are unsure which diameter, length or treatment your project needs, speak to the W Burton team—we will help you identify the right specification.

Collect from Bramshall or Threapwood, or ask us about delivery. See the full stock online, place an order and calculate delivery costs all from the comfort of your home or office.
