Auto Engineering is a engine reconditioning and race engine building company owned and run by Ben Hobbs, an engineer and race engine specialist who has worked for the company since 1994 before taking full ownership in 2004. Working with Ben is Marc Peadon who started at Auto Engineering in 2007, in 2012 he left to work at M-Sport building Ford WRC and S2000 engines and helping in the S2400, R5 and

Bentley GT3 projects, before returning again in 2014. Between them they have built championship winning engines in autograss, circuit racing, rallying and much more.

Good morning, I'm sorry to say we will not be able to take in any jobs in till the beginning of April. We have a large backlog of work that we have had for some time that needs to be finished. Trainee (Apprentice)

Auto Engineering based in south chard are specialists in engine repair and reman.
We are looking for a young person to join our small team to learn all aspects of engine machining and preparation.

Jobs include .
Stripping of engines
Cleaning components
Pressure testing and crack testing
Machining engine components
Building cylinder heads
Milling ,turning and grinding
All aspects of measurement
Maintaining high standards in the workplace

Full training will be given.
Working hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm monday to friday.
