Building Materials Supply Chain Challenges

The current situation in the Middle East has now started to impact supplies of building materials and has also led to some cost increases.

We understand how important it is that you get the right products at the right time and at a competitive price. As a member of the H&B Buying Group our team are working closely with all our suppliers on a daily basis to ensure that we can secure stock and ensure continuity for all your building projects. In addition, we are also looking at a number of alternative suppliers to further improve our supply chain.

We are now seeing a number of cost pressures from our supplier base which will lead to some price fluctuations over the coming weeks. The main factors that are driving this are:

• Fuel and Logistics increases.
• Higher energy and gas costs for manufacturing.
• Increase in container and shipping costs for imported goods.
• Rising raw material costs especially with oil-based materials.

As well as cost pressures some suppliers are now quoting extended delivery times, we are doing everything that we can to mitigate both of these and to ensure that you can successfully complete whatever project you are undertaking.
