Sunday May 3rd and day 2 of the CPRE fingerpost restoration course and here we are packing up having dismantled the finial, spacer collar, two fingers and the collar from the missing finger, the post cleaned back to bare metal and then a coat of Zinc Phosphate primer.
All being filmed by Kat so that once finished the skills can be freely shared.

Tomorrow with Annie Lloyd of CPRE Northumberland I begin a 'fingerpost restoration course' to train eight willing participants in the skills required to produce a lasting fingerpost restoration. We will be restoring two posts during the course and this is one of them in Stamfordham, Northumberland.
