General information

Our main regular event is the Whitchurch Jam Session. When: The last Sunday of every month (excluding December) Where: Earl Haig, Royal British Legion, Whitchurch, Cardiff CF14 2AA. (map) Time: 16:00 to 20:00 In late 2008 the idea was hatched to start a monthly get together for people who had a keen interest in playing, listening to or just enjoying the environment around live music. A venue was identified and with the help of the stewardess and steward the front bar of the Earl Haig Royal British Legion in Whitchurch was selected to host Jam session number 1. The local musicians and community took the idea to their hearts and with the bar overflowing on a regular basis the jam moved to its current location in the main hall of the club in 2009, a venue capable of holding nearly 200 people. The ethos has always been to support, promote, encourage and make available live music to whoever is interested. Over the years the jam session has supported many great charities and other good causes and will continue to do so with everybody’s help. How it works:- • We can supply the backline and PA in whatever format through the excellent “Octave Doctors” • Our jam sessions are open to everybody interested in live music so bring your instruments and let one of the team know you fancy a jam. • Young bands who fancy the chance of playing in front of a live supportive audience are more than welcome as we are able to boast a regular attendance of 170 plus. If you don’t play bring your ears and a smile and help make sure our jam session remains the largest this side of the Severn Bridge. If you have any questions you can get in touch with us through the contacts page of this web site. Look forward to hearing and seeing you! L.M.C.
