A fantastic afternoon at BCB International Ltd as The Red Devils British Army Parachute Display Team dropped into our staff event with an incredible parachute display.
Eight members of the team took to the skies, while a further four stayed on the ground with VR headsets, giving BCB colleagues the opportunity to experience what a Red Devils jump feels like, while keeping their feet safely on the ground!
We were also delighted to welcome Royal Navy Cadets, who joined our staff to enjoy the spectacle and meet the team.
As part of the display, the Red Devils jumped with the Wescom Defence flag, recognising our ongoing sponsorship and relationship. Following the jump, the flag was presented to Frances Hunt, Head of Defence Marketing, who manages the sponsorship, and Oliver Lancett, Managing Director of BCB International.
Wescom Defence provides the Red Devils with their distinctive red ParaSmoke, used as part of their displays.
BCB International is an important part of Wescom Defence, within Wescom Group, bringing specialist capabilities in soldier survivability, signature management and operational support to the wider defence portfolio.
It was a great opportunity to bring our people together, celebrate the partnership with the Red Devils and give our visitors a memorable introduction to BCB. The Cadets also headed home with a selection of BCB made gifts, including shoe shine kits and other useful cadet related items.
A huge thank you to the Red Devils, everyone who helped organise the event, and the Cadets for joining us. Judging by the reaction from our team, the display was one of the highlights of the afternoon (along with the Karaoke).
