CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) are the heart of quality control, and to keep them running flawlessly, we need Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and a strict cleaning routine.
Why is CMM TPM & Cleaning so Crucial?
Accuracy is King: Dust, dirt, and contaminants on the granite table, air bearings, or optical scales can directly throw off your measurements. A clean machine is an accurate machine.
Pro-Tip: Clean the granite and bearing ways daily with a lint-free cloth and approved solvent/alcohol.
