We’re Hiring: HME Workshop Engineers x3 positions

Come and join our growing team in Cannock!

Due to continued growth and a busy, thriving workshop, United Plant is looking for THREE experienced Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Engineers to join us at our Cannock facility.

If you’re looking for a role where your skills are valued, your days are varied and you’re part of a supportive team – we’d love to hear from you.

What’s the role all about?
No two days here are the same. You’ll be hands-on with everything from routine repairs to full value rebuilds, working on multi-branded HME machines of all sizes. We regularly work on leading names such as Volvo, JCB, Komatsu and CAT – experience with these brands is great, but what really matters is solid engineering know-how and the right attitude.

What we’re looking for:
➡️ Qualified HME engineers with strong practical experience
➡️ A proactive approach to workshop standards, cleanliness and health & safety
➡️ Team players who take pride in their work
➡️ Problem-solvers who enjoy getting stuck in
➡️ Engineers who are confident working across a variety of equipment brands

Why join United Plant?
We’re a leading independent engineering business – and proud of it. We work across all major OEM brands, delivering workshop solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.

Based at our modern Cannock workshop, you’ll be joining a skilled team in an environment that’s busy, supportive and full of opportunity. Most importantly, we put safety, wellbeing and our people at the heart of everything we do.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your HME career and want to be part of a company that genuinely values its team, get in touch!

Today marks an exciting new chapter for United Plant.

Over the past two days, we’ve brought our whole team together for our annual Employee Communication Meeting. A safety stand-down that gave us the opportunity to share business updates, align on our strategic direction and expectations, and hear directly from our customers in the role we have within the partnership.

Even more exciting, AMS has now been rebranded as United Plant. This brings together a single, highly skilled national engineering team, delivering complete engineering solutions across the quarry & waste, construction, agriculture, utilities and ground care sectors.

👉The largest independent national mobile engineering workforce
👉Enhanced nationwide coverage and support
👉Over 70 engineers across the UK
👉An expanded range of equipment supported — from ancillary equipment, mini diggers and trailers, through to telehandlers, wheel loaders and excavators

The depth of experience and skill within our engineering team is something we’re incredibly proud of. Above all, safety remains our number one priority. The last two days reinforced our commitment to delivering best-in-class safety standards - for our people and our customers.

Looking ahead to 2026, United Plant is set to drive growth, innovation and service excellence.

An exciting year full of opportunity lies ahead.🤩

As we head towards the end of the year, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our customers, supply chain partners and, of course, our brilliant team.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that from January, AMS (Asset Maintenance Services) will become part of the United Plant brand, while continuing to benefit from the full backing and support of our parent company, Briggs Equipment.

What doesn’t change is our promise to you: independent, nationwide, customer-first engineering solutions.

It’s an exciting time as we bring together a single, highly skilled national engineering team, delivering complete engineering solutions across quarry & waste, construction, agriculture, utilities and ground care.

As we gear up for the New Year, we’re feeling confident, ready to build even stronger partnerships and fully committed to delivering the high level of service you’ve come to expect – now supported by the strength of the UK’s largest independent mobile engineering workforce.

Thank you for your support throughout the year, for trusting us to deliver and a special thank you to our team who work tirelessly to keep our customers’ assets running, with safety always at the heart of what they do.

From everyone at United Plant and AMS, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy and happy Christmas.
